Vision Hopewell Christian Fellowship is a community of believers who are living out their faith in Jesus Christ, are known for their love, and are a voice of hope throughout the Tri-County area and world. (1 Thessalonians 1:3)

Purpose To lead people into a growing and life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Core Convictions

  • The Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word to humankind.
  • Jesus is the only hope for a lost and searching world.
  • The Holy Spirit is the source of personal and church transformation and power.
  • The Church is God’s agent for redemptive change in the world.
  • Every believer is blessed and gifted by God, and is responsible to steward God’s blessings to build up and strengthen the church’s ministry in the world.

Core Values

  • People matter to God, and therefore matter to the church.
  • All human life is sacred, and therefore is important to the church.
  • Love, acceptance and mutual respect should permeate the church and characterize all human interaction and relationships.
  • Strong marriages and families are foundational to a healthy church.
  • Small groups are the context for experiencing authentic biblical community and promoting life-change.
  • Multi-generational ministry is both rich and biblical, where individuals can learn together and serve side-by-side.
  • Leadership development is essential to the growth and development of the church.
  • Ministry and structure must submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
  • Ministry must be innovative, intentional, inclusive, and done with integrity.
  • Inspiring worship is central to the gathered church.
  • Prayer releases God’s power and anointing for ministry.
