October 18 - 20

Get away for the weekend with your fellow Women of Hopewell and go to the Blue Mountain Retreat! Enjoy times of worship provided by the retreat center and speaking sessions featuring Gwen Mouliert. This is a time to get away and have time to reflect on God's goodness, relax in His presence and connect with other women in a beautiful and peaceful mountain setting.

You can come for the weekend or just for the day on Saturday (sessions at 10 AM and 7 PM). The event is free with an offering taken after each of the 4 sessions over the weekend. But, there is an on site lodging fee of $150. There is limited housing available with a shared cost per cottage and also campsites. You can buy meals at the Center's cafeteria or you can bring your own food for the kitchens in the cottages.

A $50 deposit to secure your spot is required.

Women's Ministry

"Teach the older women to be reverent...then they can urge the younger women to love family, so that no one will malign the Word of God" Titus 2:3-5

Our goal through Women of Hope, Hopewell's women's ministry, is to encourage and equip women of all ages in their personal Christian growth by applying God's Word in life and service. Through events and studies, women are given opportunity to connect on a deeper level with each other and our God. Below are activities and study options to help you seek and grow.

2nd & 4th Mondays of each month

GROW is a women's ministry designed to fulfill the Scripture of James 1:27 calling believers to look after widows in their distress. Widows of any age are encouraged to connect with this small group. We work on finding ways to include those women from all walks of life who may be working, home bound or otherwise unable attend on a regular basis. Our goal is to provide emotional support, faith-based encouragement, fellowship and connection to widows.

While every widow's story is different, we all share the common understanding of a loss that is final beyond description, helping each other realize that many of the feelings and fears we face are not unusual. No one can understand these challenges like another widow who has already been there.

We meet at Carolyn Ericson's house (call for details).
